Getting Started

The PWD & Cultural Minority Tracker is a comprehensive system designed to track, manage, and support students with disabilities (PWD) and students from cultural minority groups at Oriental Mindoro State College. It helps ensure appropriate support services and monitors student distribution across campuses.

The system has three user roles:

  • Students: PWD or cultural minority students can register and manage their profiles
  • Staff: College personnel who encode and manage student data
  • Admin: System administrators with full access to all features

Yes! We take data security seriously. All information is encrypted, access is role-based, and we maintain complete audit logs. Your sensitive information about disabilities and cultural background is handled with strict confidentiality. Read our Privacy Policy for details.

Account Setup

  1. Go to the registration page
  2. Select "Student" as your account type
  3. Fill in all required information including your student number
  4. Check your email for a verification link
  5. Click the verification link to activate your account
  6. Login and complete your profile

Try these steps:

  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Verify you entered the correct email address
  • Wait a few minutes (emails can take time to arrive)
  • Contact IT support at support@omsc.edu.ph if still not received

Staff members must register and wait for admin approval. After registering with a staff account, an administrator will review your request and activate your account. You'll receive an email notification once approved. Contact your department head if you need urgent access.

Click "Forgot password?" on the login page, enter your email address, and follow the instructions sent to your email to reset your password. The reset link expires in 1 hour for security.

Using Features

Go to your dashboard, click "Update Location" or "My Location". You can either: (1) Allow GPS to automatically detect your location, or (2) Manually pin your location on the map. Staff will verify your location before it's finalized.

Depending on your classification:

  • PWD Students: Medical certificate, PWD ID (if available)
  • Cultural Minority: IP certificate, Tribal ID, or certificate of indigency
  • All documents should be clear scans or photos in PDF, JPG, or PNG format

Navigate to "Assistance" or "Assistance History" in your dashboard. You'll see all programs you're eligible for based on your classification, as well as assistance you've already received. Contact the student affairs office for more information about specific programs.

The staff Pending Approvals page shows two lists:

  • Pending Students: Records in the Students database with verification status "pending" for your campus
  • Pending Registrations (Campus): Newly registered users in your campus who have uploaded documents but don’t yet have student records

To convert a campus registration into a student record, click "Create Student" beside the registration. This opens the staff student registration form with the user preloaded so you can complete academic details (student number, gender, birthdate, year level, program). Once saved, the student will appear in the Pending Students list for verification.

Troubleshooting

  • Check your internet connection
  • Refresh the page (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R)
  • Clear your browser cache
  • Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge recommended)
  • Disable browser extensions that might block content
  • Ensure file size is under 5MB
  • Use supported formats: PDF, JPG, PNG
  • Check your internet connection stability
  • Try compressing large images before uploading

The system automatically detects mobile devices. If you're experiencing issues: Clear your mobile browser cache, update your browser to the latest version, or try the system in Chrome or Safari mobile browsers which are fully supported.
